Citroen first launched the DS in 1955, a front wheel drive executive car that was available as a sedan, estate and convertible. The car was an innovation for its time and featured hydropneumatic suspension including an automatic leveling system and variable ground clearance.
In 2009 the DS was first announced as a premium sub brand of Citroen, however, became separate in 2014, quickly becoming one of the newest manufacturers to arrive on the car scene, creating their very own identity and vehicles with totally unique and diverse styling!
Standing for ‘Different Spirit or Distinctive Series’, DS cars have since become incredibly popular, boasting futuristic designs, sleek sophistication and innovative technology leading to the hatchbacks being one of the most popular leasing options with Blue Chilli.
DS has even collaborated with Sir Richard Branson’s Virgin Racing team for the second season of the FIA Formula E Championship, finishing third place in the 2015-16 seasons and fourth in the 2016-17 season.
