Citroen is a French manufacturer of automobiles and is part of the PSA Peugeot Citroen Group.
Founded in 1919 by Andre-Gustave Citroen, a French industrialist who borrowed techniques from Henry Ford’s model T to create the Type A in 1919, the first car to become mass produced in France. Following the Type A, Citroen started to focus on a more high end market and led to the development of the B series and then the C range, which still today features in the current range of Citroen.
